DESCRIPTION:Mike Todhunter and Simon Gardiner are accomplished and professional musicians who both originated from Melbourne\, the capital of cool music. They have formed a duo to play classic covers of pop\, rock and blues – without the aid of backing tracks and sequences. \nMike’s keyboard style and Simon’s acoustic guitar make for a pleasant easy listening and dancing experience that is not found in many other duos. \nMike was Daryl Braithwaite’s live touring keyboard player\, as well as playing keys in many respected bands too countless to list. He is currently also performing with local band “The Groove Robbers”. \nSimon has played in several original and blues bands \, acoustic duos and trios in most of the salubrious and notorious drinking “holes” in downtown Melbourne. \nBoth the guys are keen to entertain the locals here on the Coffs Coast with a touch of Melbourne flair. \nExpect to hear some tunes by Clapton\, Diesel\, Procol Harem\, Dragon\, INXS\, Billy Joel\, Billy Thorpe\, Beatles\, Stones\, Hunters and Collectors\, Cold Chisel\, Paul Kelly\, John Butler\, Coldplay and countless other artists.

SUMMARY:The Matty Devitt Band
DESCRIPTION:The Matty Devitt Band is based around indigenous singer/songwriter Matty Devitt\, who has been writing songs and performing for the past 12 years in and around the Coffs Harbour \, Byron Bay \, and Fraser coast areas. Matty also spend 2 years in Brighton \, UK \, enjoying much success on the local circuit. \nDuring this time Matty linked up with two amazingly talented unknown guitarists\, Wes DeWitt of Canada\, and Richard Atherton of England and proceeded to take out the “Best Original Musician” Category at the 2008 Bunderburg Rum\, Blues over Byron Busking Competition\, after which Matty took out the Best Song in the indigenous category at the 2008 Q Song Awards. \nThey have performed at the 2008 and 2009 Eastcoast Blues and Roots festival to a captive audience\, the 2008 Caloundra Music festival and 2009 Dreaming festival\, Recorded their Debut Album “Chosen This Life” @ Studio 301 in Byron Bay\, and independently released it earlier this year. \nMatty and the band are currently touring the east coast from Cairns to Coffs\, delivering a unique style of Chilled\, Rootsy\, Acoustic Rock\, driven by Matty’s insightful and soulful lyrics.
